I have a Xiaomi Mi A3 running on Android 9. I've used Google Play Music for over 2 years now, and never had this issue before this phone. When I am connected via bluetooth, at times Google Play Music does not output any sound via bluetooth. The song second marker keeps counting, as if it is playing. But no music is played out. Other apps like Youtube work fine. You even hear OS clicks etc via the bluetooth speaker. Usually it starts working out fine, and then when it gets interrupted like when I get a phone call, Bluetooth stops playing. This is very annoying.
Disconnecting and re-connecting bluetooth doesn't work, neither switching bluetooth off and on on the phone. Also, I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Google Play and it didn't do any difference either. The only thing which works is if I restart the phone. Then, it will start working fine, for a while until the same conditions arise to interrupt bluetooth and make it stop working.
This problem is driving me crazy, and I don't know where to start. Not sure if this is the right place to post about this. Would appreciate any help.
